WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS…Week of January 17-24, 2012

If you haven’t sent in a revised your IRIS and EMERGENCY FORMS please complete them and send them in ASAP.  As you can see from this morning’s weather, we’re going to be using these very, very soon.  Halfway through the school year, we like to have this redone so that we’re sure we have your most current information.  Also, if you could please send me an email at srlaf2424@gmail.com, I’ll be able to update your electronic communication info, too.  (This is so much faster than typing it all in). Thanks

Cap and Gown photos for our 8th graders and picture re-takes are this Thursday.  Those students who will be having re-takes may wear their regular clothes to school that day.

RESPECT LIFE PRAYER SERVICE:  This Friday (1/20) at 8:15 am we will be having our 3rd grade through 8th grade Respect Life Prayer Service; at 2:20 pm we will be having our K-2 prayer service.  Please join us if you are available.  It is very important that, in the society of today, we help our children learn the value of life, in all its forms, from conception to natural death.

DISMISSAL:  This week will be the last week you will be receiving IRIS notifications regarding WHERE dismissal will be.  From now until Springtime (or good weather, whichever comes first), we will be dismissing from the Gym.  Please come through the gym foyer entrance and pick up your child.  Please DO NOT interfere with the children as their line passes through the gym foyer.  It is very important that our teachers know WHO is taking their children, and by “pulling” the students from their lines, this becomes a very harrowing situation for the teachers, the children AND the poor principal.  Thanks for your cooperation.

God bless and have a wonderful week!
